Sustainability.

Such an important word. But more than just saying it, it needs to be followed with real action. The world we enjoy needs us all to behave like we care, to ensure the environment survives, and all of us along with it.

Our love of the mountains fuels the drive we have for skiing. Without the mountains, not only would we not have a business, we wouldn’t have our life which revolves around the extraordinary snowy runs, rocky mountain bike trails and flowing rivers and the people that share them. We know that this only exists if we look after it. So, as a business we are doing what we can to reduce our impact and be as sustainable as we can. We know there is more to do and we are constantly striving to improve. Here is what we’re doing so far:

  • We recycle all that we can through the resorts’ recycling waste management

  • We collect all soft-plastic packaging waste and take to the recycling centre ourselves

  • We have worked with our main overseas manufacturer to reduce the amount of packaging that our product comes in

  • We choose reusable items when possible for our clinic, including no disposable cups, cutlery or tableware in our staff areas

  • We have a renewable energy provider for our office

  • We email all receipts to reduce printing and paper waste

Small things we hope to improve in the near future:

  • Request our landlords use renewable energy providers

  • Work with our other manufacturers to reduce and improve packaging

  • Improve our processes to reduce single-use consumables

  • Push for innovation in within our industry to improve the status quo

  • We are researching products that we can use in place of some of our current practises

We know this is not enough. It’s a journey, and we’re invested in continuing on it for as along as we are here. If you have any impact or sustainability initiatives you’d like to talk to us about, we’d love to hear from you.
